Legislative Experience:
In his first session, Damschen served on the House Agriculture Committee and the House Human Services Committee. Following the conclusion of the 59th Legislative Session he was appointed to the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee and Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations for the interim. Just prior to the 60th Legislative Assembly of ND Damschen was appointed to Administrative Rules Committee.
As the 60th Session convened Rep. Damschen once again was serving on the House Human Services Committee but also appointed to the position of vice chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee. This new position, rarely held by a first-term legislator, offered Damschen the opportunity of first-hand observance of, and participation in, the ND Legislative leadership process.
During the current interim Damschen serves on the Natural Resources Committee and the Administrative Rules Committee.
